3 May – Dull morning, short sprinkling of rain about 11.00. Afternoon mixed sun & clouds, some wind. Humid 31 – 33 C. Calm at the beaches. Light rain shower about 20.00.

4 May – Bright morning with mixed clouds and sun. Becoming sunnier by early afternoon. No wind. Medium 30 – 32 C. Calm at the beaches.

5 May – Bright morning with mixed sun & clouds. Late morning becoming cloudier. Afternoon quite dull and overcast. Some wind and a cooler 30 C. Calm at the beaches.

6 May – Bright morning with mostly clouds and some watery sunshine. Becoming cloudier in the afternoon. Windy at times. Cool 30 C. Light swell coming in from the sea producing light breaking waves at Patong Beach and larger breaking waves (up to 1 metre) on Karon and Kata beaches.

8 May – Stormy day, dull & overcast, very windy at times, persistent rain throughout the day. Very rough seas at all the beaches. Very cool 27 – 29 C. Terrible day fro the beach lovers, by far the worst weather day of this year.

10 & 11 May – Bright mornings, with mixed sun & clouds. Becoming more cloudy afternoons bringing passing heavy rain showers for a few minutes. Windy at times. Cool 28 – 30 C. Rough seas at the beaches.

12 May – Stormy and unsettled weather continues. Cloudy skies, no sunshine, windy at times, an occasional passing rain showers for a few minutes. Rough seas at the beaches. 28 – 30 C.
