4 December – Quite a lot of clouds early morning. Becoming brighter later in the morning then mixed sun & clouds. Some very light rain early evening. Medium 31 – 32 C. Calm at the beaches.

5 December – Cloudy early morning, becoming mixed sun & clouds later. Hot 32 C. No wind. Calm at the beaches.

6 December – Cloudy early morning, becoming mixed sun & clouds later. Quite windy. Medium 31 C. Some rain showers early evening.

7 December – Overcast morning, cloudy. Becoming brighter by afternoon with mixed sun & clouds. Medium 31 C.

Patong Beach – Christmas morning (another beautiful day)

26 December –Yet another beautiful hot sunny. Light winds and calm at the beach, except for a few terrible minutes about 10.00 when four large waves swept over Patong Beach and the front line shops & resorts fro about half a block (up to 100m). After that sea was brown & full of debris and with some bodies…..

27 – 30 December - Bright days, light clouds, plenty of sun. Windy at times. Warm 31 - 32C. Calm at the beaches.

31 December – Another bright day but with a medium cloud cover, not much sun. Cooler 29 C. Calm the beach
